Hearing National Day
The second edition of the JNA (Hearing National Day) took place on May 2nd 2018, to promote the necessity of considering the hearing health in quebeckers care system. This year, the awareness campaign took place under the theme of tinnitus and hyperacousis, and one provincial day of free of charge hearing screening was organized. In this respect, the JNA received a support of size, in the person of Valérie Plante, mayoress of Montreal. ” In metropolises as ours, the hearing is called out all the time and at several hours a day, sometimes excessively. Because we want a city in health, my administration agreed gladly to join to the activity of the Hearing National Day by welcoming its truck for the first time in busy public places of the Montreal city center. We invite the population to take advantage of this activity of screening and to take care of its hearing health “, declared the mayoress of Montreal, Valérie Plante.

As part of the University of Montreal’s Beautiful Evenings, this conference approached the recent scientific knowledge on the hearing and not hearing factors (ex. emotionals factors) involved in tinnitus and presented practical advices to live better with these intrusive sounds.
An audio captation of the conference by Radio-Canada has been taken so that it’s possible to broadcast it on “Première PLUS“.

May 23rd, 2015, during the annual General assembly, members of Acouphènes Quebec have elected representative Dre Sylvie Hébert as President d’ Acouphènes Québec. During her election, she wished that her mandate is centred on the revitalization, the development and the optimization of the Acouphènes Québec members services. She also wished to increase business relationships with the public and private bodies and other associations.
Dre Hébert can count on a experimented team : M. Ronald Choquette, 1st Vice-president, M. Alain Bédard, outgoing President and 2nd Vice-president, M. Normand Gour, Treasurer and secretary and MM Henri Bergeron, Louis Dufresne and Pierre Leblanc, administrators.
